Billing and trials
How the Ranqo free trial works, how to subscribe or cancel, what happens when a trial ends, how removed brands count, and where invoices live.
This page covers the free trial, subscribing, cancelling, and what happens to your account and brands at each step. For what each plan includes, see Plans and limits.
The free trial
Starter and Pro start with a 7-day free trial when you sign up, with no card needed. During the trial you have the full plan.
You can see how long is left in two places:
- a Free trial card at the bottom of the sidebar, with the days left and an Upgrade link;
- Settings, under Plan & billing, which reads for example "Trial · 5d left".
Agency plans have no free trial: you subscribe before the dashboard opens. Business is a custom plan set up with you after a demo; book a demo to discuss one.
Subscribe
Open the Upgrade page
Choose Upgrade on the sidebar trial card, or Upgrade plan in Settings under Plan & billing.
Pick a track, billing period and plan
Switch between For brands and For agencies, and between monthly and annual billing. Annual billing charges a lower monthly rate, paid once a year.
Check out
Choose the plan's button, such as Get Pro, and complete the payment in the checkout window.
The first time you subscribe to Starter or Pro, your first charge falls 7 days after you check out, unless you apply a promo code, which starts billing at checkout. Agency plans are charged when you subscribe.
Only the account owner can subscribe or change the plan. Team members see a note that the plan is managed by the account owner. See Team and seats.
What happens when a trial ends
If your trial ends without a subscription:
- Dashboard pages open the Upgrade page, which reads "Your free trial has ended". Settings, Upgrade and the Learning Center stay open.
- Your brands stop their weekly runs.
- Nothing is deleted. Your brands, prompts and history are kept, and subscribing opens the dashboard again with everything in place.
Team members lose access at the same time, because their access follows the owner's plan.
Removed brands and your brand limit
Your plan allows a number of brands. Normally only your live brands count toward it. While your plan is unpaid, which includes a free trial, a removed brand that completed an analysis also keeps its place:
- It still counts toward your brand limit. Removing it does not free room for a different brand until you subscribe. The delete dialog says so when this applies, and the Brands bar in Plan & billing reads for example "Includes 1 removed during your trial".
- It can be restored, but not started fresh. Add its website again and choose Restore Data. When removed brands are what fill your limit, the Add a brand page lists them with a Restore button.
- A brand removed before its first analysis finished holds no place. Its slot is free as soon as you remove it.
Once you subscribe, removed brands stop counting. If a subscription lapses, they count again. See Brand settings for deleting and restoring.
Usage
Plan & billing in Settings shows how much of your plan you are using: brands, prompts, page audits this month and content generations this month. Monthly allowances reset on the first of each month. For how each allowance is counted, see Plans and limits.
Cancel
How you cancel depends on how you are billed. The line at the foot of Plan & billing says which: Billed via Razorpay or Billed via Stripe.
- Razorpay: choose Cancel subscription, then Confirm cancel. Keep plan backs out.
- Stripe: choose Manage billing and cancel in the billing portal.
Your plan runs until the end of the period you paid for, and the card shows "cancels at period end". After that, the account behaves as it does when a trial ends: dashboard pages open the Upgrade page and weekly runs stop, and nothing is deleted.
Invoices
- Billed via Stripe: View invoices opens Stripe's billing portal, which lists your invoices.
- Billed via Razorpay: the card has no invoice link. Email support@ranqo.ai for a copy of an invoice.
